Interesting wine events are perfect for taking clients along to and there will be plenty to choose from later on this month.
They say you shouldn’t mix business with pleasure, but that is not always the case. Especially when it comes to wine, as introducing clients to a good bottle of red or enjoying a crisp white during a warm evening in London can definitely help to improve working relations and impress contacts.
The perfect opportunity for those staying in serviced London apartments is coming up later this month. London Wine Week will be held from May 23rd to 29th, offering plenty of chances to take clients to one or two of the events happening as part of the festival across the capital.
Unlocking the festival
Getting involved in London Wine Week means buying a wristband. These can be purchased online in advance or bought at one of the festival’s hubs during the event. This means you can get a few to start off with and buy some more once you know how many of your clients will be joining you at one of the festival’s locations.
These wristbands entitle the wearer to all of the deals associated with London Wine Week. These include discounted wines, food-pairing events, masterclasses and access to the £5 wine flights available at more than 100 venues across London.
One of the main features of London Wine Week are the £5 flights. These allow wristband wearers to try three incredible wines at a fraction of the price they would normally command. Featuring wines from prestigious vineyards in France, Portugal, Chile and Australia it’s a great way to get chatting with your clients about their various merits. Since bars across the capital are getting involved, you can make your way to a venue not far from your offices.
Devonshire Square hub
As well as events happening all over London, you can head down to the London Wine Week hub in Devonshire Square. It’s likely to be particularly popular if the weather is good, with plenty of lawn space and outside terraces, but whatever the climate is doing, a glass of British fizz will definitely go down well.
Why not take your clients or colleagues to an extra special event as part of London Wine Week? Here are some of the highlights:
Franciacorta pop-up bar – Andaz London Hotel – Taste some of the Northern Italian lakes region’s most delicious wine, matched with a platter of stuzzichini – a bit like antipasti, but all the more tempting.
Disappearing Dining Club banquet – Choose from Sicilian, Argentinian, Alsatian or Italian themes for a wine and food pairing banquet in Devonshire Square.
Referendum 2016 Tasting: In vs Out – If you feel that politics isn’t a taboo subject with your clients then take a light-hearted look at the Brexit debate by pitching British drinks against those produced elsewhere in Europe. All hosted by Honest Grapes.
